University of Bedfordshire chooses Optime Exam for trimester three exams
The University of Bedfordshire is a public research university with campuses in Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire, England. The University has roots in further and higher education from 1882, gaining university status in 1993 as the University of Luton. The Optime Product Suite was chosen by the university because of its modern cloud-based architecture, aesthetically pleasing UI and intuitive visual operation.
Initially Optime Exam was not going to be employed for Trimester Three exams as the focus was on implementing Optime Timetabler along with the necessary transformation replacing the legacy timetabling system. However, due to issues with the incumbent exam application, and the positive cooperation that had been demonstrated between the university timetabling team and EventMAP staff, the project board decided to “bite the bullet” and bring in Exam for the trimester three sessions. Working closely with the exams team onsite and remotely, data was imported via simple to use Excel spreadsheets, perspicuous constraints applied, draft exam timetable created, manual adjustments made, and schedule published all within a 3-week window. Congratulations to the dedication and willingness of the university exams & timetabling team and EventMAP team in realising this rapid implementation of Optime Exam.
The situation above clearly shows EventMAP values its customers and is willing to adapt to an organisation’s challenges to help them realise the benefits they seek.
The Optime Suite of applications utilises the innovative AI-based Optime scheduling engine.
