EventMAP Hosts Successful Education & Training User Event in Belfast

EventMAP recently held a highly successful user event at our headquarters in Belfast, bringing together representatives from over twenty-five organisations from across Europe, both in-person and virtually. The event provided a valuable platform for knowledge exchange, collaboration, and insight into the future of EventMAP's innovative solutions targeted at the Education & Training sectors.

EventMAP was represented at a senior level by owners and CEO, Barry McCollum, and CTO, Paul McMullan. They were joined by Optime application product owners and senior developers as well as members of the engagement & support teams, ensuring comprehensive coverage of the day’s topics and active engagement with all attendees.

Highlights of the day included insightful presentations from two of EventMAP's valued clients, the University of Edinburgh, and the University of Cambridge. These sessions offered real-world perspectives on the implementation and benefits of EventMAP's applications in an academic setting.

Focusing on Optime’s core applications the event featured four key Product Discovery presentations:

• Timetabler: Enhancing scheduling efficiency and flexibility.
• Exam: Streamlining examination planning and management.
• Booker: Optimising space and resource utilisation.
• Ceremonies: Simplifying the planning and execution of academic ceremonies.

Paul McMullan, CTO of EventMAP, delivered a compelling presentation on the Optime RoadMap, detailing future developments and how the roadmap will be communicated effectively to the user community. This session underscored EventMAP's commitment to transparency and user-centric development.

Feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive, with 95% rating the content and presentations as good to excellent. Delegates appreciated the interactive nature of the event, with one attendee commenting, "Yes, the day met my expectations as good mix of EventMAP updates and presentations from universities."
