Cambridgeshire County Council adopt Optime Booker to Manage Car Parking

Optime Booker is a highly flexible booking, allocation, and resource management solution with a wide range of potential applications. We regularly update on the use of the software within Education, Health, Defence and Government.

Optime Booker’s flexibility has already helped manage many diverse situations within modern dynamic hybrid working environments. We were therefore keen to explore the opportunity when approached by Cambridgeshire County Council to incorporate additional functionality to expand its use to manage the authority’s car parking space. We are pleased to announce that Cambridgeshire County Council are now live with this functionality to help them manage carparking across their sites.

Richard Panter, Facilities Contracts Manager within the Property and Facilities Management Resources Directorate for Cambridgeshire County Council said: “Cambridgeshire County Council have worked closely with the EventMAP technical team, to customise the Optime standard offering into providing all features and functions that were particularly important to the Authority’s car park booking system operators, and users of the car parks.”

Optime Booker allows staff to reserve parking space more easily as they return to the office post Covid. The EventMAP team worked closely with the authority to ensure that Booker comprehensively met their requirements.

When commenting on this development process, Richard went on to say: “The EventMAP team provided first class support and development, with timely responses and very comprehensive explanations of what could and could not be achieved as part of the base product customisation. This has resulted in a powerful space booking system and reporting tool, that we can use to help ensure our car parks work as efficiently as possible for our staff and visitors.”
